ON-LINE PROGRAM: SUPPORT

PatrickOn-line students are supported in their studies by a full-time teaching assistant, Patrick Lambelet, a graduate of the Masters Program 1998. Patrick earned a BA in Humanities from San Francisco State University while at the same time studying the Dharma at Tse Chen Ling Center, Land of Medicine Buddha, and Vajrapani Institute, where he attended classes taught by various Tibetan and Western teachers. In 1998 he joined the seven-year Masters Program and after having successfully completed the academic component, he then proceeded to fulfill the meditation and practice component by completing a nine-month lam-rim and deity retreat at O Sel Ling Retreat Centre in Spain. After returning to Italy, he taught Discovering Buddhism and lead retreats at the Institute as well as in other Italian centers, while continuing to work as an editor of books on Tibetan Buddhism and as a teacher of English as a second language. Having excellent language skills and being well-acquainted with working via computer, he is very qualified to tutor English-speaking on-line students.

Patrick is responsible for:

creating notes/transcripts of the daily teachings by the resident teacher

highlighting the main points covered in each weeks' teachings

providing study tools and materials suitable for on-line students

conducting weekly review classes via video

facilitating a discussion forum and answering questions regarding the current subject

supervising scheduled chats

giving personal support to students
