MASTERS PROGRAM PRISON PROJECT

In collaboration with the
Liberation Prison Project based in San Francisco, the Masters Program Prison Project has been providing material to men incarcerated in US and Canadian prisons since 1998. Unlike other students in the Masters Program Correspondence Course, these men are able to dedicate many hours each week to their studies and many of them have found great benefit from this program. Unfortunately they have other obstacles to their studies: they are frequently moved around in the penitentiary system, the materials at times do not reach them, and they have little support other than a residential student in the Masters Program with whom they communicate by mail. However, in spite of these difficulties six of them have concluded the study of the Ornament for Clear Realizations and, together with other new participants in the program, are in the process of studying Supplement to the ‘Middle Way.’

If you would like to help sponsor the photocopying and mailing of Dharma materials to men and women in prison please contact the
