MASTERS PROGRAM 2008: STAFF

Geshe Tenzin Tenphel, resident geshe at Lama Tzong Khapa Institute since 1998, kindly (and courageously!) accepted the responsibility of teaching the Masters Program 2008 after the sudden passing away in November 2007 of Geshe Jampa Gyatso, who had taught the previous seven-year Masters Program at Istituto Lama Tzong Khapa.

The rest of the Masters Program 2008 staff is composed entirely of qualified graduates of the Masters Program 1998. These include two teaching assistants who respectively conduct the English and Italian language review classes; two oral interpreters who respectively translate the oral teachings from Tibetan into English, and from English into Italian; two Italian text translators who are responsible for translating the written material from English into Italian; and two teaching assistants respectively for the Masters Program On-line in English and Italian.

The Masters Program Coordinator works closely with Geshe Tenzin Tenphel, the FPMT Education Department Director, and the FPMT Masters Program Consultant to manage the day to day running of the program and to care for the Masters Program staff and students.
