The Institute has hosted the Dalai Lama on a number of occasions, either for teachings at the Institute or in a nearby location. In September 2004, Lama Zopa Rinpoche guided the month-long Lama Tsong Khapa Guru Yoga retreat, which was attended by hundreds of participants from all over the world.
