The Institute
houses a well-stocked library of approximately
2,300 volumes, in Italian English, and Tibetan.
Although most of the books are related to
the Gelugpa tradition of Tibetan Buddhism,
the library also includes books on other Tibetan
traditions and other Asian traditions, such
as Zen and Theravada Buddhism, Hinduism, Yoga,
Tai Chi, etc. The library’s collection
of Buddhist books, including Tibetan texts,
is currently expanding due to the kindness
of generous sponsors. The entire catalog is
accessible via computer. The library is open
certain hours and is usually available for
quiet study and reading, although it is occasionally
used for various meetings, conferences, and
review classes for courses and study programs.
A separate reading room, where people can
read at their own leisure, is under development.
Donations of Buddhist books are gladly accepted.
